It hits those who can least afford it and particularly families as far as food is concerned. Even supplies such as water should be exempt. Six % maybe but only with nil % on essentials.<br /> <br />There is no argument whatsoever that business cannot cope with variable rates as they have done in the UK since VAT inception- and I have relevant experience of this in business both large and small. Businesses are unpaid tax collectors for the States already -ITIS and GST- and it is part of the cost they will have to share.<br /> <br />I don't think GST was beyond Ouzouf''s control due to the world economy and anyone who can change his mind so easily and quickly has much to answer for when in a position of powerAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
