Snow in Lent

With the blizzards, the storm, the strong Easterly wind from Siberia and the snow, I thought a mood poem would be appropriate.

Snow in Lent

Snow falling fast on the Lenten lands
White coated is the frosty field
Grey King comes, he will not yield
Reaching out his icy hands

Hedgerow shaded in grey bands
East wind in fury, power wield
Snow falling fast on the Lenten lands
White coated is the frosty field

Beaches frozen, white the sands
The blizzard comes, the fates are sealed
Pray, oh, pray, the land be healed
The storm is gone, peace now stands
Snow falling soft on the Lenten lands

Hi Tony,

I am the director of music ministries at Central Reformed Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA. Can I try to make pieces of vocal music with your poems for my church service?

Thanks for letting me know.

Yes certainly. Please put a link to them; I'd love to hear them.
