Whale Song

Whale Song

Sing the long song, across the sea
The wave in harmony flowing fast
Into the ocean current, swift and free

Stain and violate waters by decree
Harpoon driving, to end the last
Sing the long song, across the sea

Beware the anger of Tethys over thee
Shipwrecks, and the shattered mast
Into the ocean current, swift and free

Into the depths, the dark, not to see
But call to kind, in words so vast
Sing the long song, across the sea

Sorrows of the dying, time to flee
The dead hand of the recent past
Into the ocean current, swift and free

Here is the motion, the call to be
Let not joy be silenced or outcast
Sing the long song, across the sea
Into the ocean current, swift and free
