This is a Pantoum, a poetic form I'd not tried before. As can be seen, it has a very fixed structure, in which the second line of the first stanza becomes the first of the following one, and the matching fourth becomes the third (to retain the match).
An Autumn Lament
Autumn begins, the summer wanes
The osprey leaves this land
Brown leaves fall upon the lanes
The waves wash bare the sand
The osprey leaves this land
Farewell bird song, a final cry
The waves wash bare the sand
Golden sunsets in a purple sky
Farewell bird song, a final cry
The time of the Autumn gale
Golden sunsets in a purple sky
I walk along the leaf strewn trail
The time of the Autumn gale
Brown leaves fall upon the lanes
I walk along the leaf strewn trail
Autumn begins, the summer wanes
An Autumn Lament
Autumn begins, the summer wanes
The osprey leaves this land
Brown leaves fall upon the lanes
The waves wash bare the sand
The osprey leaves this land
Farewell bird song, a final cry
The waves wash bare the sand
Golden sunsets in a purple sky
Farewell bird song, a final cry
The time of the Autumn gale
Golden sunsets in a purple sky
I walk along the leaf strewn trail
The time of the Autumn gale
Brown leaves fall upon the lanes
I walk along the leaf strewn trail
Autumn begins, the summer wanes
