Balance Sheet Blues

Something for the credit crunch, executive stress, and all those corporate management skill training courses!

Balance Sheet Blues

The wind ruffled his fur as he prowled
And in the distance, something howled
He padded forward, eager to find out
That sound of fear, that panic shout
He panted as he ran, looking for prey
That the Lion God might give away.

This was the first safari tour for these
Corporate outing, minions to appease
In such outings, new management skills
Could be learned, and commercial kills
Of competing firms. Such was this day
In the safari park, driving far away.

He smelt the panic, and tasted the fear
There before his eyes now did appear
The broken engine, the executive stress
Advanced logistic parameters in a mess
And he now advances, for this appeals
Food, fresh, inviting, meals on wheels.
