The Light and the Dark

The Light and the Dark

Light shines so bright, but there is a shadow side
So hard to bear, mountains of grief or pain.
There comes a disorder to provide
And in every change, a scarring will remain
Take my hand, I reach out to you, my friend
And be there for you, at final darkling end

Light shines so bright, but pain we undertake
To endure the future as we have the past.
But hope, stand firm, let not convictions shake
All will be well, all shall be bright at last
When darkened skies are all we know
To take us through the valley deep below

Light shines so bright, time is moving on
And grief shall piece hearts like a sword
But like an eagle rising, a candle never gone
Sorrow forgot, and we shall be restored
A far distant shore where tears are past,
All safe and blessed we shall meet at last.
