Election Fashion 1: Phil Maguire and his Technicolor Waist-Coats

I think one of the usual things you notice about elections is that the men have very little choice of variance in their attire, and usually have a suit of some description, often a rather sober dark blue or grey, or perhaps less formally, a beige or even brown. But they rarely change from one Hustings to another.

Phil Maguire, on the other hand, has a wonderful assortment of waist-coats, of which I suppose the laziest description would be "vivid". They are certainly colourful, and provide a nice bit of colour among the rather staid suits of the other men standing for election.
