Transgender Clinic

Meet Helen Webberley—founder of GenderGP, infamous for promoting controversial gender treatments including hormone therapy for kids. While new to many, Webberley has long haunted those aware of her disturbing history of medical malpractice. NHS England now urgently warns GPs not to engage with her unregulated clinic.

GenderGP began in 2015 as an online gender clinic, established by Helen and husband Michael Webberley to bypass NHS waitlists. Initially praised by some, it soon gained notoriety for regulatory evasion, clinical recklessness, and troubling patient outcomes.

In 2018, Webberley was convicted of running an illegal, unregistered clinic from her home after ignoring warnings from health regulators, including the Care Quality Commission. She was fined £12,000 and initially banned by the GMC from practising, citing serious safety breaches.

To dodge UK oversight, the Webberleys relocated GenderGP first to Spain and later to Singapore, exploiting weaker international regulation. Tribunals explicitly condemned these moves as deliberate attempts to evade patient protection rules.

Michael Webberley was struck off in 2022 following a tribunal that documented a "catalogue of failings". He prescribed puberty blockers and hormones without thorough assessments or proper informed consent—diagnosing one 9-year-old from only a brief questionnaire.

Helen Webberley's practices also raised severe concerns. She dangerously prescribed testosterone to a 12-year-old without critical follow-up. Despite parents pleading for help over their child's worsening mental health, Webberley offered no response or clinical review, risking serious harm.

Although initially stripped of her medical licence, Helen Webberley regained it following an appeal citing procedural issues, though the tribunal’s clinical criticisms remained undisputed. Questions about her methods and ethics persist strongly among medical professionals.

Patients have reported feeling "betrayed" by GenderGP’s reliance on AI-driven treatment decisions. Rather than personalised, professional care, many received automated, template-based guidance, raising accusations of prioritising profit over patient safety.

Tragically, one teenage patient under GenderGP's care died by suicide shortly after receiving hormone treatment—prompting calls for regulatory investigations. High Court judges have since publicly expressed serious concerns over patient safety within the clinic.

The recent NHS directive explicitly instructs UK GPs not to engage with GenderGP, highlighting patient safety risks and lack of accountability. Helen Webberley's name is now synonymous with medical recklessness—a stark cautionary tale of clinical horror and thorough disregard for patient welfare.

Comments

She did lose her license in 2024:

As of July 19, 2024, Dr. Helen Webberley’s licence to practise medicine in the UK was withdrawn by the General Medical Council (GMC) due to her failure to complete the required five-year revalidation process. This revalidation is a standard procedure ensuring that doctors maintain up-to-date knowledge and are fit to practise. Dr. Webberley cited her prolonged suspension from 2017 to 2023 and the lack of a designated body or responsible officer to oversee her revalidation as reasons for her non-compliance.

Although she remains on the GMC’s medical register, the absence of a valid licence means she cannot legally practise medicine in the UK. Dr. Webberley has not publicly indicated any plans to appeal this decision or seek reinstatement of her licence.

This doesn’t stop her from being involved with Gender GP as it’s registered in Singapore and operates online.

The Infiltration of Gender Ideology in Scottish Schools

This is a good summary of how gender ideology infiltrated schools in Scotland.

The Infiltration of Gender Ideology in Scottish Schools
By @boswelltoday

Since 2021, Scottish schools have quietly followed the "Supporting Transgender Pupils" guidance. No vote, no scrutiny—just another silent escalation in policies developed over years, framed as kindness but deeply undermining parental rights and children's welfare.🔽

Primary schools routinely affirm young children's transgender identities. Normal childhood curiosity is quickly labelled transgenderism, opening doors to lifelong consequences. No debate. No questions allowed.

Boys identifying as girls regularly use girls’ toilets and changing rooms. Presented as inclusion, this raises serious safeguarding issues about girls’ privacy and safety. A clear case of policy capture by stealth.

For years, schools have been instructed to keep a child's transgender identity secret from parents upon request. Parental rights have been quietly sidelined, systematically excluding families from critical conversations about their own children's wellbeing.

School records—names, sex markers—have been altered on request alone, without medical advice or legal oversight. Essential safeguards abandoned with administrative ease. Is this genuinely protecting children?

Transgender pupils now compete in sports according to their chosen gender identity, disregarding biological realities. No oversight. No transparency. Competitive fairness and safety quietly sacrificed.

Transgender issues are steadily integrated into classrooms as unquestioned educational fact. This shift is less about education and more about ideological indoctrination—replacing balanced debate with enforced dogma.

Teachers have long been required to automatically affirm pupils’ pronouns and transitions, without exploring underlying psychological issues. Professional caution discarded, and critical questions potentially overlooked. No public discussion—just policy implemented silently.

On school trips, including overnight stays, transgender pupils’ gender preferences regularly override other students' legitimate privacy concerns. Quietly prioritising ideology over comfort, respect, and parental expectation

These radical policies, implemented for years without public consent or meaningful debate, have been ruled unlawful by the UK Supreme Court—but the damage remains. What happens now to a generation immersed in this ideology without consent?

The Silencing of Women by Stealth in Scotland

Extract from "Trans Britain: Our Journey from the Shadows

This is a good summary of how gender ideology infiltrated Scotland by stealth.

The Silencing of Women by Stealth in Scotland
By @boswelltoday

For over a decade, the Scottish Government quietly rewrote the legal meaning of “woman” — not through Parliament, but through policy. No law. No debate. Just guidance, data rules and admin tweaks. This was self-ID by stealth. Here’s how they pulled it off.

In 2014, the prison service let a trans rights lobbyist help draft its transgender prisoner policy. Male offenders could be housed with women. No vote. No scrutiny. Just a quiet shift, dressed as inclusion. A small policy. Huge consequences.

In 2018, the Public Boards Act was redefined to count biological males as women — even without legal transition. It took @ForWomenScot and a court ruling to strike it down. The government had tried to rewrite protected characteristics by sleight of hand.

In 2021, schools were told to let boys identifying as girls use girls’ toilets and changing rooms. The guidance claimed there was no legal obligation for single-sex spaces. No consultation. Just state-sanctioned policy capture.

Then came the data. Public bodies were told to record identity, not biology. Male rapists could now appear as “female” in crime stats — and did. This wasn’t a system error. It was official guidance from the Scottish Government.

Scotland’s 2022 census allowed self-ID on the sex question — regardless of birth certificate or legal status. The rest of the UK refused. Holyrood embedded gender ideology into the national record — and called it progress.

By the time the GRR Bill hit headlines, self-ID had already crept into prisons, schools, the NHS, and official data. The bill failed, but the principles behind it were already policy. Unvoted. Undebated. Unseen.

Then came Isla Bryson. A male double rapist with post-conviction-onset dysphoria, identifying as female, sent to a women’s prison. Ministers acted shocked — but the policy that allowed it had been in place for years. The public just hadn’t been told.

In April 2025, the UK Supreme Court ruled that “sex” in the Equality Act means biological sex. The scaffolding collapsed. Much of Scotland’s guidance — on schools, crime, prisons — was now unlawful. And suddenly, silence.

This wasn’t inclusion. It was deception. Rights were redefined through admin memos. The public was never asked. And now the courts have caught up, the façade is falling. Scotland was ground zero for self-ID by stealth.

Other Comments:

They stealthily changed wording on policies too. They took the word ‘Mother’ out of maternity policy and substituted it with ‘person who gave birth’.

If they had truly wanted inclusivity they would have rewrote it thus:
Mother/person who gave birth.

Why didn’t you?

Additionally, The SNP imposed funding criteria on the VAWG sector which required trans inclusion - insidious. Civil Servants who questioned were bullied into submission. The unions rolled over and acceded to the demands of a cult which required the dismissal of the Equality Act.

You could add that funding for many groups, including those supporting women, included a requirement to have and to submit as part of the funding application, a transgender policy, often without even requiring similar policies for disability and other equalities ...

The fact Sturgeon did all this by stealth implies that she KNEW she had no public support for it. Publicity around trans issues was actively avoided. By the time of the GRR bill most of the electorate were still unaware that many 'transwomen' were fully intact men

Gender Protests: A united front of hatred and discrimination

The gender protests have become so polarised that it is hard to know where dialogue can occur. An investigation has been launched after three people were attacked during a trans rights rally in Birmingham. The man pushed and spat at three attendees during a march in New Street.

Brendan Phillips, one of organisers of the Birmingham rally, said that the demonstration aimed to show solidarity with those affected by the ruling. He told The Independent that they are planning to present a “united front against hatred and discrimination”.

And in Birmingham the protests seem to have been peaceful.

But London protests were anything but. A mob of trans-activists waving death threats at women isn't protest—it's criminal incitement.

The War against Women

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/04/22/trans-activists-death-threat-placards-reviewed-by-police/

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14638683/Police-investigate-trans-activist-death-threat-signs.html

For all that I am not a fan of the Daily Mail or the Telegraph, the photos taken at the Trans protest against the Court decision on biological women and the Equality Law stands for itself.

The Met originally saw the pictures and reviewed them (not very well, it turned out) and said the the images and signs were from 'historic events, and did not take place in London. But the Telegraph was able to supply proof (probably the clear up operation) - clear unambiguous evidence that the signs were present during the protest on Saturday.

Statues were daubed with graffiti. And ironically, astatue of the suffragette Millicent Fawcett was defaced with a banner reading 'F** rights'. Millicent Fawcett was a pioneer for women's rights and led the National Union of Women's Suffrage Societies (NUWSS) and advocated for women's rights through peaceful, non-violent methods, including lobbying and public speaking. Other defaced statues included those of Jan Christian Smuts, Nelson Mandela, Sir Robert Peel, Benjamin Disraeli, Earl of Derby and Viscount Palmerston.

A number of activists were pictured holding signs threatening violence towards 'TERFS' - including disturbing images of people being stabbed and hanged. While most held up placards fighting for trans rights, two large signs spotted at the rally showed an illustration of hangman alongside the words 'The only good TERF is a .... TERF'.

[The term 'TERF' is an abusive acronym used to describe people whose views on gender identity are seen as hostile towards transgender people.]

Meanwhile, another sign showed an image of a man with a bloodied knife stuck in his eye, alongside the caption: 'Are you a... transphobe? Why not try a... D.I.Y. LOBOTOMY.'

This is violent aggressive and abusive behaviour. It is an ugly fanatical war against the biological rights of women. Up to this point, with aggressive, bullying behaviour - mostly online with emails etc, but also some student protests - anyone declaring biological sex is a reality (as Lord Winston did on Question Time) - is branded a transphobic hater, and people have been cancelled, hounded out of jobs, in a manner that I find akin to religious fanaticism of the past, where anyone differing from a fixed orthodoxy was deemed a heretic.

And this surge of hatred, including death threats, has been condoned by politicians. In Jersey, fear of reprisals and loss of jobs have silenced teachers making any protest on what has been imposed on them to teach. Any discussion of the matter has been attempted to be shut down. And some of our own politicians also to their shame, condone this removal of rational and scientific debate.

J.K. Rowling on the War Against Women

Women have fought (and are still fighting) the single biggest land grab on their rights in my lifetime. Some have sacrificed their livelihoods and safety to combat a pernicious ideology that has infiltrated elite institutions, including government.

Women have been persecuted, harassed, smeared, roughed up and forced to take employers to court for discrimination. They've suffered severe detriments purely for believing what the Supreme Court has ruled to be reasonable and correct: that women are a definable biological class that has specific rights under the law to which males, however they identify, are not entitled.

Do these politicians have any shame? They sided with the persecutors, the issuers of death and rape threats, the violent men demanding access to women's and girls' protected spaces, including domestic abuse shelters, rape crisis centres and prison cells.

Will any of them issue an apology or admit that they made a serious error in siding with well-funded activist groups lying about what the law actually said, and which had measurable, severe impact on some of society's most vulnerable women?

As another public wave of death threats is issued against women because of the Supreme Court ruling, their silence has become deafening. I'm just one of millions of women disgusted by the lack of accountability or remorse. We will not forget.

Aristotle, Thomas Aquinas and Gender Ideology

Aristotle, Thomas Aquinas and Gender Ideology

There is a rich diversity of vocabulary that trans* people may prefer to use to describe their gender identity. Non-binary identities include genderfluid, gender-neutral, genderqueer, 3 agender, bigender, neutrois, androgyne. (Transgender Guidance for Jersey Schools)

People that identify as Genderfluid may find that their gender fluctuates on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, and that they often do not identify with the concept of gender at all (Agender). There is no one way to be Genderfluid, and each person's experience may differ greatly. (Manchester Pride)

One of the fundamental notions of gender ideology is to pull apart biological sex and gender, whereas the former is immutable, the latter is a social construct, and with the idea of gender fluid, currently on the teaching agenda in Jersey schools, different genders can be tested out daily almost like changing clothes until you find one that you are conformable with – for the moment!

There is a clear distinction made between biological identity and gender identity. Gender identity is to do with an internal sense of self, which may differ from outward markers of biological identity.

In Aristotelian categories, each object has accidents and substance. The accidents are the outward appearance, so for a dog, the substance is the essential nature of the creature as a dog, its “dogness”, so to speak. The accidents are the attributes that can change without altering the dog’s fundamental nature. A Labrador retriever and a Chihuahua differ in many accidental properties, but their substance as dogs remains the same.

Thomas Aquinas, with his theory of transubstantiation, used Aristotelian categories to explain the words in the Mass – “this is my body”, “this is my blood”, but in a novel way. In the act of consecration, the bread and wine are believed to transform into the body and blood of Christ in substance, while their outward appearances (or "accidents") remain unchanged..

In this case, there is a tearing apart of the “breadness” substance of bread as it becomes the “bloodness” of Christ, while the outward appearance as bread remains (the accidence).

In a similar way, gender ideology holds that a person's gender identity (their internal sense of self) may differ from their biological or physical characteristics. What appears to be the case in the outward markers – biological sex – may differ from the essential gender of the person. A trans woman, for example, has an essential nature – the substance – as “womanness”, while the outward biological appearance – the accidents – may to all purposes be physically identical to that of a biological male.

Of course one difference is that the accidents may be surgically adjusted so that to external appearances they resemble a biological woman. But apart from surface characteristics, the basic biology remains fixed. A trans woman will not have to worry about smear tests, but will have to worry about prostate issues, a clear indication the surface surgery, and even biochemical interventions (hormones, puberty blockers) cannot alter the biological facts.

To summarise, both concepts emphasize the primacy of an inner or essential reality over external appearances. In transubstantiation, the essence of the bread and wine is transformed, regardless of sensory evidence. In gender ideology, an individual's self-identified gender is considered their true identity, even if it differs from biological markers. Changing gender identity, like transubstantiation, is a metaphysical transformation.

And both rely on belief systems for their acceptance. A change of substance, whether it be bread or wine or gender, cannot be measured empirically. It may be thought that gender ideology can seek validation from psychological testing, but the psychological testing itself is carried on within the framework of gender ideology. The existence of a category called “gender fluid” is a key element to understanding the metaphysical aspect of gender ideology.

Both an individual's sense of self and religious faith are rooted in subjective, internal experiences. They are intangible and not directly observable, but they are profoundly impactful. For someone who feels a strong gender identity or a deep faith, that conviction becomes an anchor for their understanding of reality and their place in the world.

However, just like with religion, this is a belief system which is not and should not be promoted as scientific. That this has done, and attempts have been made to shut down and cancel scientists who hold that biological sex is immutable is a scandal. Indeed the fervour and zealousness of some gender ideology proponents resembles the fervour and zealousness of the worst excesses of Christianity in silencing opponents.

Children as young as seven might be a “mixed berry gender fluid muffin”, teachers have been told in a sex education resource promoted by the Welsh Government.

And that brings us to the position of children, and the two strategies involved with children and gender.

The ‘watch and wait’  or "watchful waiting" approach does not steer a child towards any pre-determined outcome, but recognises developmental change as an intrinsic part of childhood and adolescence. This is the approach recommended by the Cass report.

The gender affirmative model most notably seen at Tavistock GIDS makes the assumption that the child knows their gender and puts them on a path to change, if for example, the child thinks of their gender identity as a woman. This is an approach very much critiqued by the Cass report.

There is an interesting parallel between deciding the two strategies and the early Middle Ages.

In Christianity, Monastic oblation refers to the practice of offering oneself to God through association with a monastic community. Historically, this included children being dedicated to monasteries by their parents, often at a young age, to live under the Rule of Saint Benedict. These children were known as "oblates," and the practice was common in early medieval Christianity.

As Diarmaid MacCulloch notes:

“From what had apparently been a minor provision of Benedict’s Rule, oblation became a major feature of Carolingian life between the ninth and the eleventh centuries, both for boys and girls (though we know a great deal less about the custom in nunneries). It is likely that the majority of inhabitants in monasteries and nunneries were now products of oblation in early childhood, and thus they formed a category of European Christians who spent their whole lives in celibacy, thanks to a decision made for them by their family.... This had none of the provisions for probation or second thoughts that the Rule allowed for older entrants to monastic life.”

So the West, monastic vows were often formalized and tied to the Benedictine tradition. Children dedicated as oblates were expected to follow the monastic rule. But in the East, matters were different:

“The general consensus among Eastern monastic authorities was that it was not suitable to demand an early decision in life on something as important as chastity. Basil the Great sensibly observed that ‘it is not proper to consider children’s words entirely final in such matters’

The Western approach was more like gender affirmation, whereas the Eastern one was much more akin to “watch and wait” until the child reached the age of discernment.

It is yet another example of how the debates may shift, but some of the underlying core ideas and recommendations remain the same. Personally, I think the Eastern Church was right, and watch and wait is the best approach. In the end, the Western church softened its stance towards that and recognition that an "age of discernment" mattered, as of course it still does in matters of law and children, but not, it appears, gender ideology in schools.

JK Rowling on the Biological Reality of Being a Woman

JK Rowling on the Biological Reality of Being a Woman

I believe a woman is a human being who belongs to the sex class that produces large gametes. It’s irrelevant whether or not her gametes have ever been fertilised, whether or not she’s carried a baby to term, irrelevant if she was born with a rare difference of sexual development that makes neither of the above possible, or if she’s aged beyond being able to produce viable eggs. She is a woman and just as much a woman as the others.

I don’t believe a woman is more or less of a woman for having sex with men, women, both or not wanting sex at all. I don’t think a woman is more or less of a woman for having a buzz cut and liking suits and ties, or wearing stilettos and mini dresses, for being black, white or brown, for being six feet tall or a little person, for being kind or cruel, angry or sad, loud or retiring. She isn't more of a woman for featuring in Playboy or being a surrendered wife, nor less of a woman for designing space rockets or taking up boxing. What makes her a woman is the fact of being born in a body that, assuming nothing has gone wrong in her physical development (which, as stated above, still doesn't stop her being a woman), is geared towards producing eggs as opposed to sperm, towards bearing as opposed to begetting children, and irrespective of whether she's done either of those things, or ever wants to.

Womanhood isn't a mystical state of being, nor is it measured by how well one apes sex stereotypes. We are not the creatures either porn or the Bible tell you we are. Femaleness is not, as trans woman Andrea Chu Long wrote, ‘an open mouth, an expectant asshole, blank, blank eyes,’ nor are we God’s afterthought, sprung from Adam’s rib.

Women are provably subject to certain experiences because of our female bodies, including different forms of oppression, depending on the cultures in which we live. When trans activists say 'I thought you didn't want to be defined by your biology,' it’s a feeble and transparent attempt at linguistic sleight of hand. Women don't want to be limited, exploited, punished, or subject to other unjust treatment because of their biology, but our being female is indeed defined by our biology. It's one material fact about us, like having freckles or disliking beetroot, neither of which are representative of our entire beings, either. Women have billions of different personalities and life stories, which have nothing to do with our bodies, although we are likely to have had experiences men don't and can't, because we belong to our sex class.

Some people feel strongly that they should have been, or wish to be seen as, the sex class into which they weren't born. Gender dysphoria is a real and very painful condition and I feel nothing but sympathy for anyone who suffers from it. I want them to be free to dress and present themselves however they like and I want them to have exactly the same rights as every other citizen regarding housing, employment and personal safety. I do not, however, believe that surgeries and cross-sex hormones literally turn a person into the opposite sex, nor do I believe in the idea that each of us has a nebulous ‘gender identity’ that may or might not match our sexed bodies. I believe the ideology that preaches those tenets has caused, and continues to cause, very real harm to vulnerable people.

I am strongly against women's and girls' rights and protections being dismantled to accommodate trans-identified men, for the very simple reason that no study has ever demonstrated that trans-identified men don't have exactly the same pattern of criminality as other men, and because, however they identify, men retain their advantages of speed and strength. In other words, I think the safety and rights of girls and women are more important than those men's desire for validation.

I sincerely hope that answers your questions. You may still disagree, but as I hope this shows, I’m more than happy to have this debate.

Gender Ideology: Assigned at Birth

One of the more subtle ways in which a gender ideology seeks to devalue biological sex is the propaganda seeking to use the phrase "sex assigned at birth" as if the doctor is making a subjective judgement about the babies sex, rather than observing a biological and objective reality. It is like saying “the baby’s eyes are blue” and saying that’s “assigning eye colour at birth”.

It is done, I am sure, with the best of intentions, to defend trans people. And I wholly agree that trans people must have legal rights which can be protected, which is a core of Jersey's discrimination law about protected characteristics regarding gender reassignment. But this must be done by the law, not by distortions of science purveyed as truth. I know several trans people who have undergone gender reassignment surgery and I would be appalled if they suffered prejudice because of that, and I suspect that in some parts of society, they do.

But inclusivity means welcoming everyone. It does not mean altering facts to suit everyone. In fact, because "assigned at birth" is not based on sound science, it is like a house built on sand, and will leave open a door to undermining the rights of transgender people.

It is an insidious practice which is replacing the truth of science with social constructs, and has been creeping, almost invisibly, into medical training.

Here are definitions which illustrate this::

Sex assigned at birth” means the male or female designation that doctors ascribe to infants based on genitalia and is marked on their birth records.

Instead of saying “biological sex,” some people use the phrase “assigned male at birth” or “assigned female at birth.” This acknowledges that someone (often a doctor) is making a decision for someone else. The assignment of a biological sex may or may not align with what’s going on with a person’s body, how they feel, or how they identify.

But this is comprehensively debunked by an article by Alan Sokal and Richard Dawkins -“Sex Assigned at Birth”: The medical establishment betrays science, logic and common sense

The link to the full text is given afterwards, but here are the main points:

"Sex in all animals is defined by gamete size; sex in all mammals is determined by sex chromosomes; and there are two and only two sexes: male and female. All this is, of course, hardly news: it has been known for over a century, and it is basic stuff from any half-decent high-school course in biology. For sure, quirks of mutation or prenatal development may leave some individuals unable to produce viable gametes at all. But an infertile individual with a Y chromosome is still male, just as a one-legged person remains a full member of our bipedal species."

"Much is speciously made of the fact that a very few humans are born with chromosomal patterns other than XX and XY. The most common, Klinefelter syndrome (XXY), occurs in about 0.1% of live births; these individuals are anatomically male, though often infertile. Some extremely rare conditions, such as de la Chapelle syndrome (0.003%) and Swyer syndrome (0.0005%), arguably fall outside the standard male/female classification. Even so, the sexual divide is an exceedingly clear binary, as binary as any distinction you can find in biology."

And then they explain how a babies sex is not assigned but observed:

"A baby’s name is assigned at birth; no one doubts that. But a baby’s sex is not “assigned”; it is determined at conception and is then observed at birth, first by examination of the external genital organs, and then, in cases of doubt, by chromosomal analysis."

Can this be mistaken? Doctors are fallible.

"Of course, any observation can be erroneous, and in rare cases the sex reported on the birth certificate is inaccurate and needs to be subsequently corrected. But the fallibility of observation does not change the fact that what is being observed — a person’s sex — is an objective biological reality, just like their blood group or fingerprint pattern, not something that is 'assigned'."

And they highlight that there is a patent dishonesty about this terminology, which stems from good intentions - to protect the rights and feelings of transgender feeling. But this is not the right way to go about it, by perpetrating lies:

"The medical establishment’s new-found reluctance to speak honestly about biological reality most likely stems from a laudable desire to defend the human rights of transgender people. But while the goal is praiseworthy, the chosen method is misguided. Protecting transgender people from discrimination and harassment does not require pretending that sex is merely 'assigned'.

"It is never justified to distort the facts in the service of a social or political cause, no matter how just. If the cause is truly just, then it can be defended in full acceptance of the facts about the real world; if that cannot be done, then the cause is not just."
