Back to more usually blogging tomorrow, in the meantime, for today, a Jubilee themed poem...
Then and Now
The rain is beating steady, down
But within the Abbey, all is fine
The Queen in her Coronation gown
With coronet, jewels gleam and shine
The rain is beating steady, down
Crowds await, the Queen to see
The joy the weather cannot drown
Now sixty-years, the Jubilee
The rain is beating steady, down
The young Queen is passing by
This was a day of Oath and Crown
And from the crowd, a cheering cry
The rain is beating steady, down
Still they rejoice in London Town
